In the music business for over twenty years, Cliff Goldmacher is an engineer, producer and owner of recording studios in Nashville, Tennessee and Sonoma, California. A multi-instrumentalist, Cliff has recorded, played on and produced thousands of demos for major and independent publishers, brand new songwriters and Grammy winners. The demos Cliff has recorded have ended up as major label cuts, in feature films and on television.

bio-page-photoCliff has worked as a staff songwriter for a major Nashville publisher and his songwriting collaborators include multi-platinum selling artists Chris Barron (Lead singer of the Spin Doctors), Grateful Dead Drummer, Mickey Hart,  Lisa Loeb and Ke$ha. Cliff’s songs have been cut by major label artists in genres ranging from country, pop and jazz to classical crossover. His music has also been used on NPR’s “This American Life” and in a national advertising campaign for Coca Cola. Most recently, Cliff’s song “Till You Come To Me” spent 27 weeks in the top ten on Billboard Magazine’s jazz chart and was the #1 Mediabase and #2 Billboard jazz song of 2010.

As an educator, Cliff  teaches for BMI, ASCAP, The Songwriter’s Guild of America, the Nashville Songwriter’s Association International and Taxi. Cliff is also a freelance journalist contributing to EQ, Recording and ProSound News magazines along with numerous music websites and blogs. Cliff’s book, “The Songwriter’s Guide To Recording Professional Demos” has been downloaded over 5,000 times.
